Details

National Social Service Day- 2025 was celebrated with rally, distribution of prizes and open discussion on welfare state building organized by upazila administration and upazila social Services Office, Karnafuli, Chittagong, keeping in front of this slogan 'No one beside you, there is social service.


On the day, Thursday, January 2, at 11 am, an open discussion meeting was held at Upazila Parishad Conference Room, Karnafuli, Chittagong on building a welfare state.


Karnafuli Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mrs. Masuma Jannat was present as the main negotiator in the discussion meeting. Mr. Sabur Ali, Karnafuli Upazila Social Services Officer, moderated the meeting. Mr. Zobair Alam, the coordinator of Karnafuli Upazila of Anti-discrimination student movement, and many other student representatives were present in the discussion program. Besides, various beneficiaries of Social Services Office, teachers and students of private orphanages and employees of social service office were present and made the discussion meeting a success.


At the end of the discussion meeting, a total of 09 beneficiaries, including 03 students injured in the anti-discrimination student movement, were given financial assistance of Rs.83,000/- from the Social Welfare Council.
